Plus-size girls don’t have too many options, you say. We just have to settle with the classic attire, the black, floor-length dress to hide our thick thighs with a shawl so they won’t see our arms. After all, there aren’t too many pretty dresses available for our size. The biggest downer is, another girl might end up wearing the same dress!

You will be surprised to discover that there are a lot of designs available, such as halter gowns, corset gowns, and empire-cut dresses. There are even two-piece dresses available in our size. They also come in different colors. Love designer clothes? Check out your favorite designer’s website, you’ll find a variety of plus-size prom dresses there.
Just make sure that you know your accurate measurements. Online stores ask for specifications so your dress will be as good as custom-made sans the costly price tag.
Yet, for those who don’t need to mind the price tag, i strongly recommend that you have your dresses custom-made, which is an advice i give to both plus-size and size 0 ladies. This way, your dress will be tailored to fit you and you even get to demand a style, color, fabric, and design that you want. You can even discuss with your designer the options on the type dress that can be created to flatter your figure. Custom-made dresses are expensive, and if you have the money to burn, this is the way to go.
High-heeled shoes are definitely our best friend. Not only do they make us appear slimmer, they also give us instant-confidence and poise. Lastly, you need accessories too. Always think ahead when buying them. Remember to purchase accessories that will complement your dress and shoes.
